Pineview and Popcorn

Camping in Anderson Cove was a little more comfortable this year. We bought the kids air mattresses and Rhett and I brought our queen air mattress. We made the beds with sheets and blankets instead of sleeping bags. It was so comfortable, I'm not a big fan of sleeping bags so it was great. We did have a bit of a learning curve though. The air in the mattresses gets really cold at night. We had to put towels under us to keep in the warmth. The next night was much better.

This camping trip is polar opposite from our backpacking trips. We pack all of the luxuries to be comfortable and make a lot of really good food. Porter even brought the air popper knowing that Rhett was bringing the generator.  It actually worked out great. The back of the truck is always packed with so much stuff. Rhett always jokes that how in the world do we survive with just the packs on our backs.

Lots of food, card playing, boating, and family time.
