You know the old saying, "It sounded better on paper." This day definitely fell into that category. I thought it would be so fun hiking around and exploring Antelope Island for the day. To be fair, we actually had a lot of fun hiking around and seeing the island. I just didn't realize that we were going to be feeding the wildlife. Now you are probably thinking we had a chance to feed the Buffalo. I wish that is what I meant. We actually fed the biting gnats!! I'm sure they got their fill on our blood. We were covered with gnat bits, I mean covered. We all looked like we had a bad case of chicken pox. We learned a great lesson; only go to Antelope Island when its still too cold for the gnats, early spring or winter.
