Christmas 2013

They may be growing up, but I think they still get a little bit excited to go downstairs on Christmas morning.

First things first, keep the dog happy so he is not in your face while you open presents. He loves getting new treats, this should keep him busy for awhile.

Porter made this beehive out of clay. He did a really good job on it. Stella made me a recipe book. I love the homemade gifts, it's fun for me to see how proud the kids are when they give them. You can tell a lot of love goes into their work.
Bridger outdid himself on the homemade gifts this year. He made Stella a jewelry box in wood shop and he made Porter this amazing VW sign in his stain glass class.
I knew he was working on those for the kids, but he totally surprised me with my own stain glass project. This kid is seriously talented, his teacher was very impressed with his work. It meant a lot to me when Bridger said he had been staying late and going in early to finish mine.

Bridger was more than surprised to get his Brute Sax.
Later that night we went to Linda and Ralph's. Rhett was pretty happy when Jack was willing to sit on his lap. He is such a cute little boy, he is a minnie version of Dallas
The kids were still wound up when we got home. Bridge was experimenting on some new hairstyles.
Christmas and all of the crazy days leading up to it are always very nice but the week after Christmas is when the real fun begins. Rhett takes it off work and it becomes a week of pajamas, games, movies and a lot of family time. I love it!
