We went to another new place that was only 50 minutes away which worked out great because we could only stay two nights. We camped right by this river. It saved us, we spent the whole time either fishing or swimming in it. It was pretty hot in the day so the cold water felt great.
Rhett helped Stella get started with fishing and then she just took off. She was the most determined of off the kids to catch a fish. She just kept trying and trying. I felt bad she had no success. It didn't damper her spirits though. Now She just claims, "I need a fly rod like dad's"!
Amazingly there were no bugs! No flies in the day or mosquitoes at night. We were actually able to eat all of our meals outside and enjoy it. That is a first in a long time, we usually have to go in the trailer to eat. One of the main reasons this was a perfect trip.
My big almost teenager is never too big for a hug! He turns 13 on August 2nd. It's crazy!
Porter's first time fishing with his fly rod. He did great, quite the little natural when it came to casting.
Stella and Porter made a pretty cool river and pond by the time they were done. In the morning when they woke up Stella found a frog hanging out in their pond. It was a fun surprise for her.
Rhett was pretty excited to catch this! It's the biggest fish he has caught in a long time on his fly rod. We usually fish the Uinta streams where the fishing is great but the fish are small.
Rhett and Bridger were the only ones to catch fish.
This is our pathetic dog being bored out of his mind as we were fishing another part of the river. Other than that picture he had a great weekend. He loved swimming in the river too. His favorite part was that we forgot his food so he got to eat our food for two days. That never happens.
This was one of many water fights. It really was a great trip. Everyone got along so well. We really had a fun time. We will be back especially on those short weekends. Good times!

Sounds like you are getting good use of your trailer! So fun! Tell Stella Kevin will make sure she catches a fish when we go to Starvation :)
