The cast came off on 11/28. It makes more sense why they say old mattresses can weigh so much from all of the dead skin. My wrist was covered in dead skin, it was so discussing. I was very happy to scrub it off immediately with soap and water. I was surprised to see how well my scar looked. My thumb was very sore and very weak. I went right after to the Physical Therapist that is down the hall. He made a brace for me to wear for a few months until my thumb gets stronger. We also went over a bunch of exercises to work on.
Update on the hand, in just the last few weeks my thumb is feeling strong and the pain is pretty much gone, it was worth doing. 4/24/24
