Shoulder Surgery with a Bicep Reattachment

This guy went in to have the other shoulder cleaned up. When he woke up he was disappointed to hear the news that Dr. Hendry had to do a lot more work than was expected. We found out that his bicep was becoming detached from wear and tear. Dr. Hendry decided to detach it all of the way then reattach it by drilling a hole in his shoulder bone sticking the end of the bicep in and holding it in place with a screw. Hendry said if it would have torn on its own which it was really just a matter of time, it would have been a lot worse to repair and a lot of times the insurance wont even cover it. I feel like the Dr. made a good decision but it was not the news Rhett wanted to hear. HIs other shoulder healed fast and he was back at it. The bicep is a whole different program and there will be months of recovery a head of him. They want him to be very strict. He is not allowed to pick up anything at first, then in a few weeks he can pick up a pencil and so on. I know Rhett is really worried with how his bicep will look. He has been searching the internet which is always a bad mistake. You see the worst case scenarios. I understand why he is nervous. He works hard at the gym and he has amazing arms to show for it. Dr. Hendry assures him that it will all work out. He just needs to put in the work and trust.
