Moab and Mesa Verde

We spent the long weekend in Moab and Mesa Verde Colorado.

Porter found this huge tad pole in the pond behind our RV camp.
We went frog hunting later that night and found the parents. Can you believe the size of that frog. The kids were having a blast catching and releasing these monsters.
We hiked to Delicate Arch. We go to Moab all of the time but it has been years since we have hiked to the arch. It was Stella's first time seeing it (that she remembers).
It was just a little windy up there at the top.

We had a great time at Mesa Verde. It was amazing seeing how those people survived back then. The kids loved climbing up through all of the ruins. I have to admit I loved it too.
We were able to do all three tours. It was well worth it. You got a closer look at things and I could have listened to the Rangers stories all day.
This one was called Long House. Just amazing!
The ruins were tucked in on the sides of mountains so you had to climb in and out of them on these ladders.
Later that night we were watching our pictures on the TV. The camera took a picture of us and then another.  As you can see we thought it was pretty funny.
There were a lot of crazy things that happened on this trip, like driving through really strong wind and things not starting. As we pulled into the driveway my truck started acting up. Lets just say its a good thing we got home. It was a great trip though. We were all glad we went.
